God's Unfailing Promise

Ulagam yaavayum thaam ulavaakkalum

When Kambar attempted to release his version of Ramayana (in Tamil) at the Srirangam temple, he met with heavy opposition, on the grounds that the original Ramayana had no reference to the killing of Hiranyakasipu.

Kambar replied that it was the Lord Himself who had written the statement, ‘Ulagam yaavayum thaam ulavaakkalum’ (being the Source of all the worlds), and the opposing scholars challenged him to bring God to testify the truth of his statement.

Kambar started reciting the Ramayana, and when he came to the phrase ‘Yaarada Sirithaar?’ (Who Laughed), the Narasimha idol in that mandapam (Hall) laughed aloud, to the wonder and amazement of the gathered scholars.

This is an example of how Narasimha bore evidence to the statement of his devotee.

See everything as God, know that this Eternal whole Bliss (Poorana Anandham) pervades everywhere and is in everything. Then you will comprehend Divinity.
