Lay Down Your Burdens
A Gnani wishes to give you the best of things available with him
A Mahaan bears your burdens. That’s why Jesus states, ‘O Come, all Ye burdened! I shall offer thee shelter’. Did Jesus claim to remove the load? All he offered was rest.
What is rest? An old woman carrying a bundle of dry sticks on her head in the heat of summer, falls down in fatigue. A passer by unloads the bundle, escorts her to shade, gets some cool buttermilk for her to drink, fans her sweat away, makes her sleep for sometime, and when she is sufficiently relieved, helps her reload her bundle. He puts the bundle back on her head, he does not carry it for her. He has helped her in need, that’s it.
So also, a Gnani will be keen to help you undergo your karmas and get you out of the cycle of rebirths. He is not an astrologer to give you shortcut methods that help you escape from your karmas this birth, but give you future birth cycles with added karmas.
No Gnani will do that. A Gnani wishes to give you the best of things available with him. He is not interested in confusing you further and making you undergo the torture of more births.
When you come to me with total trust, I will ensure that your miseries do not affect you.
