The Language of Heaven
You, who are starving now, are fortunate. The Kingdom of Heaven is yours
It is true that Jesus has said, ‘Ask and you shall receive’. But he has also specified what to ask of God. It is a question of acquiring knowledge about God. There are so many such statements in the Bible. In fact, Jesus has stated, ‘Don’t despair that you are hungry. You, who are starving now, are fortunate. The Kingdom of Heaven is yours.’ Jesus never asked you to seek worldly things. If that was the case, why did he embrace poverty? He wandered around in the forest. This son of God did not have even a brick space for resting his head; he shared his bread crust with so many thousands. If he was interested in worldly wealth, he need not have led a life on such meager means. He never discussed anything worldly. He declared, ‘I will come back to life in three days time. I will demolish and rebuild this place in a matter of three days’.
People foolishly assumed he was talking about the brick and mortar church, whereas Jesus was referring to his physical form as the Church, Jesus always spoke the language of the Heavens and people misconceived them to be the language of the Earth. That’s why he was crucified, because people never understood his language.
What do I give to people who invest their faith in me?’ I give you back yourself.
