The Chessboard of Life

The body perishes, but the soul lasts forever

A champion chess player who wins international tournaments is called a Grand master. So too the Grand Master in the realm of spirituality is God.

In chess, there is only one fundamental lesson to be imbibed — the king must be in the game. Even if all the other coins are eliminated, if the king survives, the game is on. Jesus is the king. He stands despite the cross. So he is the winner. Buddha was poisoned. But he stood his ground. So he is a winner. So it is with all Mahatmas.

The body perishes, but the soul lasts forever. Mahaans are protected by the Grand Master, God, who designs their every move. The Grand Master takes care of their moves, because they are alone in this world, with just one thought in mind, ‘Success of their Lord’s Mission’. So the Grand Master teaches them every move, what to do when the horse opposes them, what to do when the pawn crosses their path, what to do if the queen steps out.

Which is why Siva Shankar Baba is ever victorious and never a failure. The queen is out, the family is out, the business is out, but I am steady. None can harm me. The game of the body is over. Every moment, I am being guided by the Grand Master of the Universe. He tells me what to do at every step. He knows what exactly to do and my every move is directed by Him.

When you are totally dependent on Him in this chess board of life, He never lets you down.

If your search is for Truth, then you will truly find it.
