Easy Way to Reach God

The stories of the devout hold immense lessons for us

Andal sang, ‘Through all my births, I am related to You only, My life has no meaning if I cannot serve Your Lotus Feet’. She says in Thiruppavai, ‘Friend! I dreamt Kesavan was marrying me – Kesavan, our Dear Lord, whose name drives away miseries.’

When you reflect on this, you will understand what Vaikunta is, what Moksha is. God granted Moksha to Periazhwar whose only self-set task was collecting fresh flowers and stringing them into garlands. His daughter Andal did nothing but secretly try out the garlands meant for the Lord before they were offered to Him. And she did attain the Lord.

You too can secure the Lord’s Lotus Feet this way. If you offer your prayers with single-minded devotion to the Lord, you too can attain His Grace. The stories of the devout hold immense lessons for us.

Divinity exists within each one of us. We are prevented from knowing this divinity because we assume that this dream called the world is the truth.
