Meditation helps you keep your mind alert

You may read Amar Chitra Katha, Mills & Boon or any such story books even at 12 midnight because you are interested in that. If you are asked to study your school lessons, you get bored.

  1. Your mind concentrates only when what you are doing interests you.
  2. Know that there is no relation between ‘knowing God’ and ‘meditation’.

A lot of people assume that if they meditate, God should grant them a vision in His Celestial Splendour. It is not so. Yoga helps to maintain a sound body, free from any infirmities. Meditation helps you keep your mind alert. It is an exercise for the mind.

Yoga is for the physical body and meditation is for mind. It is a mind taming, mind training exercise. It has nothing to do with the realisation of God.

Do not be worried about being good or bad. Forget the past moment and focus on doing good at the present moment
