India Awake!

India requires a rational mind, and not an emotional mind.

New nations have progressed so well. India has not progressed that much, because we do not think of the next generation. People are wasting all their time thinking about the next election. They are wasting their thoughts on caste, religion and what they can gain from these. All these are unproductive and emotional approaches.

India requires a rational mind, and not an emotional mind. We require human beings, humane beings, with the guts to speak out their mind, to obliterate all that is evil, to rout out corruption. Do not wait for someone from some far off heaven to do it for you. Change your outlook on life, become bold, do what you can to prevent corruption around you. Then the combined force of all your positive actions will lead to a better world. That was Vivekananda’s clarion call.

In all these years since it gained Independence, India has seen three generations of citizens. The first generation - - the freedom fighters faced so much of turmoil, were battered by blood-thirsty battalions of soldiers, and boldly fought to the finish to obtain freedom. But their present sad state of affairs – they do not have proper food to eat and their time is spent on the frequent trips they have to make to the pension office!

The second generation has failed to sustain what the first generation got for India by hard work – sweat and blood, literally. Nations that came into being much after India have progressed at remarkable speed, whereas you are giving lame excuses about excess population. You are not prepared for hard work; that is your problem. The other nations manufacture products par excellence and sell it at nominal, affordable prices. Whereas you compromise on quality, and try to fleece the buyer - - typically like the story of the goose laying the golden egg, and you are trying to get all the golden eggs by killing the goose! Indians do not have a qualitative approach, they lack focus on quality. If it goes on like this, how do you expect India to be at the helm of affairs in this world?

Our only hope is the third generation - - the present day youngsters. Imbibe fearlessness in them, encourage patriotism and guide them to do what is right, and never give in to corruption.

At present, Indians are India’s enemies. If they see another Indian, they do not even greet with a hello! They have no intention of helping each other, leave alone rising in unity. Indians are never Indians. They are either Malayalis, or Tamilians, or Kannadigas, or Punjabis etc. When will you be a truly secular nation, if secularism exists only in theory and not in practice? Only when you pride yourself of being an Indian, will India attain progress.

The third generation is going global, and they have to unite. Think of yourself as an Indian, that is the first step to being a citizen of the world. You are able to get a green card in USA or citizenship of some country because they are all very small - - hardly 400 years of existence; 200 years of democracy. Your country India is thousands and thousands of years old.

Be proud to be an Indian.

For India to become a powerful nation, or rather, for India to re-discover the powers she has, what we need is (1) organisation; strong infrastructure, (2) development of skills (3) co-ordination of values.
