Trusting God Through Hardship
Like that God gives you the so-called hardship so that you will mellow and become calm.
There is no such thing as hardship. Everything that happens in your life is just an experience. I have told this anecdote before: If you have a boil or cyst, you go to the doctor to remove it. He makes you take medicine to prevent further infection, applies ointment to the boil and then when the time is right, he presses out the pus from the boil, dresses the wound and gives you an injection to prevent recurrence.
All through this episode, it was you who decided to go to the doctor, endured all the pain in the process and even patiently took the injection given by the doctor. Not just enduring all the pain, you even paid the doctor. You did all that because you know this is for your good and that the doctor did only what is good for you and it is the only way.
Like that God gives you the so-called hardship so that you will mellow and become calm. You will start accepting life and only do good for yourself and for others. If you can accept what the doctor did for you, you must accept what God has in store for you too.
Spirituality and Religion are only really a way of contented, peaceful and happy life. If one is filled with these, then he is termed ‘God’. And all this is achieved on the worldly platform itself in day to day life.
