Whatever You Do, Do It Well

Whatever you are doing for a living, do that sincerely

Those who have been acknowledged as the 63 Nayanmars in Periya Puranam and are being worshipped now in temples, on par with Lord Siva, were all ordinary human beings like you. They lived as laundry men, potters, kings, farmers etc.

They did not leave their household responsibilities to become sanyasis. They offered their work itself as the worship dedicated to the Lord. If this person were a dhobi, he would wash the clothes of devotees free of cost. Another would burn incense, as a welcome to devotees returning from the temple. If he were a farmer, he would cook the grains harvested from his own field and feed the devotees free, even if there was the worst famine. Whatever be the intensity of misery or poverty these people underwent, they continued serving the devotees of the Lord, whilst taking care of their own families too.

Whatever you are doing for a living, do that sincerely. If you are a householder, continue to take care of your family - continue to serve the Lord.

Nothing is good, nothing is bad. Nothing is sin, nobody is sinner
