The Glory of Narasimha Avatar
The clash was between the negative skepticism of Hiranyakasipu, the demon king and the positive conviction of his son Prahalada.
The German Philosopher Max Muller who had an excellent insight into Eastern Philosophy describes the glory of Narasimha Avatar: ‘It was a clash of positive and negative energies. It was the most powerful and instant electric spark’
The clash was between the negative skepticism of Hiranyakasipu, the demon king and the positive conviction of his son Prahalada. The conflict centered on whether God exists or not. Narasimha is the Electric (and Electrifying) Force that resulted as a result of the collision of these two opposing forces.
This is a wonderful concept. It does not matter whether God existed in the pillar or not. On one side, there was this young boy with such trust in God’s Presence that he did not care for the torture he underwent because of that: and this included serpent bite, being thrown off a cliff, being submerged in the seas, being refused princely rights and even poisoned. Despite all these, Prahalada held on to the Lord.
On the opposite camp was a powerful demon who had achieved mastery over all the three worlds as a result of austere penance, and, drunk by the vice of his powers, had turned into a tyrant. And the Lord emerged from a pillar, to honor the conviction of the young prince.
There are solutions for everything and as long as you do not trouble trouble, trouble will not trouble you
