This World Isn't Worth It

They fail to understand what is good for them

Vallalar who nurtured such lofty ideals, was disenchanted by the world in his lifetime. He founded the Sathya Gnana Sabha. But even the priest appointed by him was not obedient to him.

His frustration at the world’s lack of understanding and wisdom led him to declare ‘kadai virithen kolvaar illai’ - ‘I spread the divine wares, but there were no takers. All my efforts have gone in vain, and I depart with a heavy heart. A time will come, and perhaps I will return then.’

Such is the state of affairs with the world; they fail to understand what is good for them, and what is it that will stand by them until the end and beyond.

That is what Buddha asserted, ‘the world is but void, the world is suffering; everything is pain.’ This may strike you as odd, considering the world seems so colourful and pleasant, and in general a nice place to be in. You are unable to believe that the world is not worth it.

God is limitless, has no boundaries and can never be defined.
