Inner Purification

If you can master the inner purity of your heart, external symbols are not required

No external symbol can confer spirituality on you. If taking bath is going to make you spiritually endowed, you take bath only three times a day; whereas the fish remain in water all the time; have all the fish become divine? No.

If you think that growing a long beard like the Rishis (which they show in the movies) you can become Divine, well! bears are covered with hair and fur, they become saints!

If by smearing Sandal and Vibhuti on the body you become a spiritualist, the zebra has white and black lines throughout the body, the tiger is striped yellow, they are much more renounced than anyone of us!

None of these symbols contributes to spirituality or enlightenment. These symbols were introduced in the Hindu philosophy to make you conscious of the body given to you so that you will maintain its purity. It is just to guide you to remain a pure human being.

If you can master the inner purity of your heart, external symbols are not required.

Dress well, eat well, live well, have a pure heart, inner purity and that is more than enough
