Go Beyond Thoughts

A person visited RamaKrishna Paramahamsa. RamaKrishna asked the man for his ring, wore it on his finger, asked the person for his shawl, used it for sometime and then returned the ring and shawl to the visitor.

The person requested Ramakrishna to have them for himself, to which Ramakrishna replied, ‘I had a craving for wearing a ring and for the warmth of a shawl. I must not land up in another birth, which is why I borrowed these from you. Now I am done with these desires, so you can take back your ring and shawl’.

I am quoting from the Gospel of RamaKrishna. So if your desires are fulfilled - but remember you must not insist for anything from anyone, you must not harm anyone — when all dues are settled, you will have traversed beyond thoughts.

Thoughts are like debts, only when the debts are settled do you reach nil liability.

There is nothing like worst or best. All experiences are aimed at leading you to Enlightenment — Wisdom of the Power of the Self.
