Know Yourself, Forget Yourself
As long as you identify yourself with the physical form, you will not comprehend God.

If you can rise beyond your physical form, you will be able to see God. As long as you identify yourself with the physical form, you will not comprehend God. Spirituality deals with ‘Thannai marathal; than vayam izhatthal’ - forgetting oneself; liberating yourself from the fetters of your physical form.
Take the case of Archimedes. The king wanted him to assess the gold crown and specify if it were genuine gold or fake. With the threat of execution hanging over his neck, poor Archimedes could not concentrate on anything but the king’s assignment. Reflecting on this in his bath, Archimedes suddenly hit upon the right answer and rushed out, shouting, ‘Eureka! Eureka! (I discovered it! I discovered it!)’, oblivious to the fact that he was streaking naked across the streets.
If he had been conscious of his physical presence, Archimedes could not have hit upon the concept. He was so much absorbed with the problem on hand that he lost all consciousness of the self, and it was at the subconscious state of mind that the theory of Archimedes evolved.
I lead a life of Truth. I do not seek anything from anyone. I do not ask for alms. I had everything, but I renounced all of it in my quest for God. Can you do it?
